On Saturday, September 6, the Father Diamond Council held its Installation of Officers ceremony.
At the conclusion of the event, our incoming Grand Knight, Patrick Murray, shared his vision for the year ahead. He outlined three key priorities for our council:
1) Maintenance of Providence Hall (“The Hall”)
The Hall is in urgent need of consistent maintenance and upkeep. Over the past decade, usage of the facility has increased significantly, while regular cleaning and general maintenance have unfortunately declined.
To address this, a Hall Maintenance Committee was formed at the start of the fraternal year. One of the first priorities has been the installation of new security cameras to help preserve and protect the space.
2) Recruitment
As the needs of our parish and school have grown, so too has the importance of expanding our brotherhood. Many of our current members have served faithfully for years, but we must ensure that the next generation of Knights is ready to carry the torch.
As Grand Knight Murray reminded us, “80% of the work is done by 20% of the men.” If we are to continue our mission effectively, recruitment must be a shared effort—one that every member commits to supporting.
3) Continuing Our Commitment to the Church and School
Finally, we will renew and strengthen our support for St. Leo the Great Church and School—not just financially, but through our time, presence, and service. Giving back to our parish community remains at the heart of who we are as Knights.
